Woodworker
Job Description
Looking for someone who can operate a table saw, planer, bandsaw, routers, and other common woodworking tools.
The starting wage will be between 16-18$ per hour for the first 3 months and will receive a raise once the 3 months is completed. The amount will be based on performance.
You will require your own PPE.
A vehicle is an asset but not required.
Primary responsibilities are the following but not limited to:
- Produce and test wood products.
- Keep shop clean
- Monthly maintenance on machinery
- Ability to read and write at a high school level
- The ability to work independently or as a team
- The ability to work at a fast pace
- Set up, operate, and tend drill presses, routers, sanders, planers, and saws.
- Cut, shape, and smooth wooden parts.
- Verify dimensions using a caliper, tape measure, or rule.
- Add fasteners and adhesives and connect the pieces to form a complete unit.
- Sand products using sander or sandpaper.
- Operate specialized pieces of woodworking machinery.
- Ensure wood isn’t warped, cracked, or swollen.
Requirements & Prerequisites
The applicant should have some experience either in a woodshop or as a carpenter.
