Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Represented (Teamsters Local 879)

Location: Hamilton, ON

Shifts:  Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday)

               Night Shift (Monday to Friday)

               Alternate Work Week (Tuesday to Saturday)

Probation Rate: $18.90

Regular Rate: $19.90

Position Description

As a Facility Operator, your primary role is to perform various job tasks which may include machine operation and/or sorting of waste products. This positons report to the Operations Manager and interacts daily with Shift Supervisors.

Key Accountabilities

• Bulk and consolidate household hazardous waste (i.e. paint, stain, solvents, cleaners and aerosols) manually or by machine
• Perform physical labour by lifting containers up to 20L in size
• Complete production reports and paperwork on a daily basis
• Participate in company supplied training
• Work safely and adhere to company policies, rules and procedures regarding health and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and walking
• You may be required to work outside The environmental conditions may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty, wet or noisy
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment which may include hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, flame retardant clothing and safety shoes
