Job Description

We are looking for a highly motived  & experienced AV Field technician to work on residential and the occasionally some commercial projects throughout the Halton, Hamilton- Wentworth, and Peel.

The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in our industry and be willing to work throughout the GTA . Our home base is in Burlington.

Candidates must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot and resolve various service issues related to Integrated AV systems.  They must be efficient in pulling, terminating, labelling, and testing cabling between audio, video, data, and control equipment.

Hours are Monday To Friday, with occasional weekends and over time. Shifts are 8, 10 or 12 hours.

Salary is $16- 30/hour and is based upon experience with Full Benefits.


Requirements & Prerequisites

Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb ladders up to 20’ high
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal records check
  • Ontario Drivers License preferred.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of video, audio, and control connectors and cabling
  • Effectively and respectfully communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Basic computer knowledge and understanding of IP addressing and communications
  • Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video and control
  • Ability to repair drywall
  • Ability to understand programming systems and interfaces and equipment configuration
  • Must be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces.
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
