20073 - Machine Operator /General Labourer
Job Description
COVID-19 considerations: masks, gloves and face shields are provided for those situations where physical distancing is not always possible. work stations allow for appropriate physical distancing
- Load castings onto fixtures ensuring proper orientation and location. Ensure machine properly clamps the parts in place and activates the machine cycle.
- Visually examine the machined work-piece to assess the quality of parts produced, as well spot-checks finished parts during machining cycles.
- Perform quality gauging, SPC, packing etc. as determined by the job specific requirements
- Responsible for hourly and daily record keeping/documentation such as parts produced
- Responsible for consistent quality and productivity levels
- Heavy machinery manufacturing for Automotive parts
- Fast paced environment – must be able to meet established quotas
- Type of Machine or Equipment: Set Up or Operation of CNC Machines
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Clean, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail.
Days & Hours of Work:
(Currently running 10-hour shifts; alternating shifts)
Monday – Thursday 5:00am – 3:30pm or 3:30pm – 2:00am

Requirements & Prerequisites
- Work Setting:
- Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
