Job Description
We are hiring for multiple roles, please see below for details. The days & hours of work for each position will vary depending on the location’s hours of operation. Benefits are available after 6 months for Full-Time positions only (health, vision and dental).
Hamilton – Brant Street:
Industrial Butcher/ Deboner (Full- Time)
Job Summary: Responsible for deboning standard cuts of meat for further processing.
- Debones standard cuts of meat
- Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Ensures product quality
- Maintains a clean environment and follows all food safety rules and regulations
- All other duties as assigned by Management
Packer (Full- Time)
Job Summary: Responsible for the packaging of all goods for resale in the packing room. Reports to the Packing Room Supervisor.
- Daytime M-F
- Slices/arranges cold-cuts into vacuum packing machine.
- Packs prepared meat products for vacuum and shrink tunnel machines.
- Properly codes all products.
- May help in the sausage kitchen and salad kitchen.
- Operates hand slicer, automatic slicer, VP machinery, wrapping machine and hand knives.
- Reports equipment problems to the packing room supervisor.
- Reports any quality control issues to the supervisor.
- Responsible to operate within the health and safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Warehousing Associate / Driver (Part- Time)
Job Summary: Responsible for the shipping and receiving of products into the plant. Acts as a back-up DZ driver, safely delivering products to Denninger’s retail locations and wholesale customers
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods, reporting discrepancies as needed
- Move stock to appropriate department/ storage and maintain accurate inventory records
- Prepare and verify retail and wholesale orders for timely shipping
- Operate invoicing terminals, handheld devices, lift trucks, and scales
- Assist in weekly inventory checks in coolers, freezers, and grocery storage
- Maintain cleanliness in warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas per SSOP guidelines
- Assist with delivery driving as needed (medium duty delivery trucks) to cover absences including but not limited to sick days, vacations, etc.
- All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements & Prerequisites
Hamilton – Brant Street:

- 1 year experience in the manufacturing industry
- Knife experience is an asset
- Comfortable working with raw meat products (beef, pork, chicken)
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for extended periods of time
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable with assisting other departments as necessary
- Meat packaging and food manufacturing plant
- Physically demanding and fast paced work environment
- Early morning start (6 am Monday to Friday)
- Refrigerated (cold) environment
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
Packer (Full- Time)
- 1 year experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Knife experience is an asset.
- Comfortable working with raw meat products (beef, pork, chicken).
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable with assisting other departments as necessary.
Warehousing Associate / Driver (Part- Time)

- 2 years experience in a warehousing, shipping /receiving or comparable role preferred
- Must have or be willing to get their DZ license
- Must be comfortable driving large vehicles and have a clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to participate in an early schedule (Monday- Friday, 5-7am)
- Ability to work in a meat processing facility (cool temperatures, diverse meat protein contact)
- Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
- Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
- Bend and lift loads, up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
